Prosecco is produced in the North-east of Italy precisely in five provinces in Veneto (Treviso, Venezia, Vicenza, Padova, Belluno) and in four provinces in Friuli Venezia Giulia (Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine). It is one of the most beautiful area of Italy. Two of these provinces are particularly relevant for the history of Prosecco, namely Treviso and Trieste, because the harvest, wine-making and the bottling of grapes take place here.
Prosecco DOC, with a fresh and fruity smell, lightly sparkling, is the wine symbol of the region and of the Made in Italy in general.
